    Ah, I remember my first stud finder. It was a hammer, once I found a stud, I measured 16 inches and hoped for the best.

      If it's cheaper than the Rigid and Panasonic cordless drills that are lost in my attic insulation It will pay for itself in a day.

            If that thing gets down to a couple of hundred dollars, I would consider it quickly! One of the things I plan on doing in about two years is to totally rewire our 80 year old house - when I get back home.

            In would love to have that to find wire and figure out which way it goes from outlets - ceiling or floor! To see curves and note the difficulty of re-wiring would be a huge time saver.

            All of this, plus not to mention pipe locations in walls for when remodeling a bathroom.

              Last time I saw an a for one of those it was on the back page of a comic book.

              Seriously, I doubt a lot of them will be sold to individuals, but rental companies will love them.
