I have an old Sears 2 hp air compressor I just bought off someone. It runs great, but he had it wired 220. Originally it was 110, but he upped it to 220 a long time ago and doesn't recall how he did it.
He also added a standard household on/off switch along the line.
My circuit breaker box is on the complete opposite end of my house from where the compressor needs to be, so I really do not want to run a new line for 220. We may be moving within the next year anyway. I would rather switch it back to 110. I know the plug end needs to be changed, but what needs to be done on the other end?
