How do I fix my Ridgid Drill Keyless Chuck that is stuck in a Wide Open position? It does not want to close for anything.

what if you use 2 sets of pilers in opposite directions. maybe some penetrating oil will help too.

I once had the same problem with an electric drill and it was the screw inside the chuck that attaches it to the shaft that had loosened up and all I had to do was tighten it and all was well. If I rememer correctly the screw was a left hand thread. Could this be your problem?Palermo LenComment
