    windows updates

I got a new desktop at work... after i powered up and connected /logged into the network, I rebooted and it came up and said... installing 1 of 27006 updates... 2 of 27006 updates... 3 of 27006 updates...

At that point i left for lunch and when i came back it was all done.

    i7-2600K, 8GB 1 TB/7200 RPM and 2 22" LCDs. replaced my 10-YO desktop.

    Ouch

I wish I had a photo of that. It would rate right up there with-

"No keyboard detected -- press any key to continue".

Go back to the restore point and do it again.... Windows makes a restore point now before making the updates...

BTW - the restore point is a good way of undoing the damage done by some viruii - removing the virus doesn't updo the damage -- Just go back to the last restore point - you will not lose any of your user files.
