The concern I have with posting a phone number is that it allows people to get your name and address.
I prefer the relative safety of the CL email system and don't respond to ads that insist that the prospective buyer call. If we can't set it up by email, I'm not willing to take the risk.
It could also be an age-related thing - younger people and tech folks do nearly everything now by email and text, while older people may prefer the technology they grew up with, such as the telephone.
I guess the apparent conclusion is there is no general agreement on the best approach, even within a local area, and different approaches will likely reach different groups of buyers.
