    Midnight - never forgotten

I Had one abandoned by an ex SO- a black male named Midnight. While primarily a dog person, I took care of him and was surprised at how great he was.
No fear of any of the dogs. Would go and sample the Dane's food while the Dane was eating - both heads dipping into the dish. Agnes Pitbull use to chase him, until one day I saw him sunning on the deck as Agnes walked by, totally indifferent. Upon closer inspection of Agnes, I saw she had a bloody nose running down her lip. Ah Ha !
Whenever I came home Midnight would come running over to greet. He was like one of the dogs. Broke my heart when I had to put him down due to incurable illness.
