    Garage cabinets finished....finally

I finally finished the cabinets for my garage. This is a project which began last summer. I finished the boxes and the doors but still had one last detail to add....

    This:

Before I added these cabinets, this is what my garage storage looked like.

So it at least hides the crap

Looks good. I really like the pullout drawer/shelf you incorporated. For me, it would be helpful to have a countertop to rest things on while I rummage through the cabinet.

This was exactly the idea behind this. That and having a flat horizontal surface while working on other projects just to hold things.

What's also really genius about it is that it's supposed to be temporary or you've just committed to having this drawer in your way when you pull the car in. My problem is I will cover every flat space available to me if it's fixed in place.

Those are great, love the pull outs. I have a workshop and no work bench in the Garage. Wide Table BT3, Planer and Jointer and Tall Car Tool Rollaway and Wife car, Having Cabinets on one wall with pull outs would solve a big problem when working on one of the cars ors some other project in the garage and need a flat surface to put thing on or to work on, nothing heavy but just a place to use. Just checked. I can have 23" deep cabinets and about 11.5' long. Time for a project. Have some pieces of Pergo left to use for a work surface. Time for Sketch up.

Very nice work! Cabinets will store (or at least hide) a lot of stuff. I need to do something like this for my garage

Those are some great slides! I love what you can do with drawer slides now. This weekend I saw a newish Ford F-150 that had a neat bed cover that was like a coil away door with 1/2" panels, really impressive. We were admiring this truck cover and the owner showed up and answered our questions and lowered the tailgate and pulled out one large drawer that was the size of the inside of the truck bed! That drawer was 4'x 6' and pulled out close to 6' and was full of his stuff, heavy stuff. I believe you could use these heavy duty slides to mount a planer, jointer or other heavy equip. in a cabinet like Neal's
