    Pistol Grips

My nephew has asked me to make a set of wood grips for his airsoft pistol. This is territory that I have never ventured into before. I know there are a few gun owners on here so I wonder if anyone has made their own grips? I have been looking on line but I wonder if there is any advice that can be shared to make things go a little smoother.

I have made my own auto pistol stocks. I have not made revolver stocks. 1911 grips are easy. Browning hi-power were a pita! I have carved out my own Shotgun buttstock. None of the above is anywhere close to flat or box type wood working. Much more like carving. First piece of advice is start slow, slow down and check fit often. Sometimes as often as after each shaving you peel off with a chisel.
