If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.
BT3 FAQ - https://www.sawdustzone.org/forum/di...sked-questions -
Originally posted by I saw that!I like my oldie with all its metal parts, but it has issues. I was wondering whether I might want to grab up a "like brand new" unit and part mine out (it's completely disassembled anyway).
If this CL one has the 15A motor, then it'd be an upgrade over my 13A as well and a lot of the 15A components are still available, so I could order some backups.
I doubt I'd be able to sell my downgrade, since most people want the 15A motor.
Thing is, the wording is a bit troubling with this one. It's "like brand new" and "never used". Usually, something that's never been used IS brand new, not just like brand new. Or maybe the seller meant it's never used anymore, after the first 2 or 10 times.
This, coupled with total lack of pics gives one pause...
Heck, it could truly have never been used, but have nicks and dings in critical areas affecting operation, or the rails were bent/damaged in transport, or parts are missing, etc...
It's a long drive to find out it's a POS.
I just replied to he C-L and asked for the date code and his location in Katy and if its still avail..Loring in Katy, TX USA

Have you thought about half length rails, about 20" extension?
You can cut your bent rail at the bend if its in the right place and use it for the extension.
I have at least one set of silver rails I was intending on cutting to 24" long at one point to extend the saws cut width without (I hope) having to use a wide table support/kit.Loring in Katy, TX USA

Depending upon where the bend is you could end up with two usable short sections to make two half extensions for two saws. Yours and someone else's.
Haven't seen it lately but used to always see people looking for half rails in the wanted to buy/sell forum here.Loring in Katy, TX USA
