Looks like they're incorporating the new clamps.

That looks pretty cool. Not having to adjust the clamp screw would be nice. For those that don't have the front side clamp, it would be very welcome.
They should have incorporated a way to attach the stops in the extension wings.Erik -
I don't remember the last time I used the stop. The extension wings are a good idea.
Just checked the Kreg site: it says the jig comes with a stop, but in the pic it looks like a separate piece.

That's pretty cool. I thought they discontinued the previous front clamp handle version (k3MS?) because they ran ran afoul of someones patent and would not pay royalties. I guess they either came to agreement on royalties or some kind of license (maybe bought the patent). Self adjusting clamp also seems like a great idea. In my mind these keep Kreg as the leader for Pocket joint jigs.Last edited by LCHIEN; 07-24-2013, 05:41 PM.Loring in Katy, TX USA
If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

That looks like another winner from Kreg. I like it a lot.

Oh, I want one.
I already have the front handle clamp version, but I hate adjusting it every time I change thicknesses. Not sure I'd pay $140 just for that, unless I can find a buyer for my old one first.Comment

Sell it quick while it's still current... in Sept it will be another model and a few features older.Loring in Katy, TX USA

Never knew what a pocket hole screw was before Kreg starting advertising them some years ago. They certainly have their place and are quite useful. More importantly IMO is that they opened a new way of joining construction materials in tight places that I would have never have thought of before ;-)I think in straight lines, but dream in curvesComment
