After 34 years of carrying a badge, I have decided that it is time to call it quits. I will retire the end of January 2015. I have had a great career over the time, K-9 handler, hostage negotiator, special deputy u.s. marshal and chief of police for a 70 man department.
I loved every minute of it and love the guys and gals in my department, but there comes a time when you realize it is a young mans job.
I will spend my retirement volunteering with a non-profit group called "Saving a Hero's Place". We make Honor Chairs for departments to honor first responders killed in the line of duty. It is all done for free and I will get no pay. It will probably cost me money but what the ****. Check out group out at
I can't wait to be able to spend more time in the shop. WooHoo !!!!!!! Get to buy more tools.
