    Quest for smallness

I'd like to see another round of weight loss for the membership. A new contest. Perhaps you made a weight loss goal as a New years resolution?

    Lets keep it simple:
    1. open to any member
    2. we'll chart loss out of the public eye but still weekly weigh ins
    3. first weigh in on the 10th.
    4. final weigh in March 14
    5. Member who lost the most weight will receive a membership upgrade, fame and glory

    Who is in?

We will track as we have in the past with a Google doc spreadsheet all participants will have a link for.

I am down 10 pounds from last year's loss challenge, and need to get another 10 off minimum.

Can't do more than some dieting for the next few weeks - no exercise that involves lots of walking or even bicycling. I have had 4 injections in my knee in the past 4 weeks and have one more to go. Then a series of 3 nerve blocks in my back from another doctor. After that, we will see if I can do more activities!

184 reads and only 2 replies. I think we may have reached market saturation with the last one.

I'm not sure it would be fair for me to jump in. I am talking to the dr. about medical intervention. I have GOT to get this under control NOW.

I have not yet dared get on the scale after the holiday but from the way my pants fit (not) I know I won't be happy. I would guess I could use to loose 10 lbs so am happy to participate.

LOML and I are both working up a plan that we can stick with. Probably go with something like Atkins and plenty of time in the Gym...

                Started Early

Being back to work proper as of this Monday I wanted to get my goals set and under way. I therefore did my weigh in and set my goal.

Jan 5th - 189 lbs thats about 8-9 lbs added over the holiday

Goal is 175 lbs or below.

Once again @woodturner has volunteered to build the google docs spread sheet.

                      I was 212 yesterday morning.

I'll jump in... I'm down a good ten lbs from last time (I think). Currently I'm at 177 lbs as of this morning.

At the end of this past October I was in the hospital for 13 days, with an IV plugged into me and I lost a total of 20 lbs from when I went in. Got down to 167, but the wife thought I was looking too gaunt and she's taken to fattening me up.... not hard to do with all the holiday food.

So while I was thinking I'd not want to join in, I'm not happy about gaining back ten pounds since the beginning of last November... the challenge might just be the thing to reverse the process and get back to a slimmer 165 of so.

                          Count me in,

                          CWS

Where's the spreadsheet, and what are the time parameters?

After talking with my Doc, and my dietician, I am doing a modified Atkins diet (not as strict and pay more attention to the TYPES of fats blah blah...) and I have to restart induction this week. My birthday Pizza blew me out...
