    My favorite 'nitstand' LED light from HF is currently on sale:





    Seems to be the one the family grabs most often for general tasks.

    For my EDC and survival/defense needs; that's a whole different discussion thread.

      Our neighborhood bonfires are getting fewer and far between due to families growing up and kids moving off, and buisy schedules. We did discuss fireworks and decided that they were too expensive, as well as illegal. Too many things can go wrong and really not a good place to shoot them.

        FWIW, in the US Maglite offers a lifetime warranty. In addition, battery manufacturers warrant and repair devices damaged if the batteries leak.
