Me too. But I can't eat sugar and that is one of the main ingredients.

But that doesn't stop people from sliding off the road into the ditch. I honestly know how they do it. I just use summer tires on my convertible. I drove it to work and back today. It's been rainy this week but nothing frozen.

When it does snow a little here I take pictures. The snow looks nice and it doesn't hang around long. I still have a snow shovel so if we need to get out of the driveway I can clean it and we can drive.
I bought a snow shovel several years ago and only used it once. Now, I'm too old.

I've got some snow for sale if you really need some. Did you see the guy on television who lives in Boston. He's selling boxes of snow delivered to your door for $89 (?). Wow!

Or push it into the street like apparently everyone else does, wait for the snowplow to push it back in your drive, then push it out again.

Hopefully the temperatures will warm and the snow will melt by August
I have never seen a 10' pile of snow. I thought it lived in the same realm as Puff the Magic Dragon. (But you're probably not old enough to remember Puff.)

A 10' pile is usual even in this area. The problem this year is that it has not been melting in between snows, so it just keeps piling up. 12" -18" at time, over many snowfalls, build into a 10' pile.

I do remember Puff - was a favorite song as a kid, used to fall asleep to that song. Brings back fond memories

we have about 2 feet on the way this weekend.

I just got back from the outdoor shop, where I picked up a pair of snow shoes.

If you can't beat the weather, you might as well enjoy it.

I look at the photos on the news of houses and business roofs caving in due to excessive weight. It looks like all of the roofs were flat or low slope roofs. Didn't they know it snowed and they would cave in? Kinda like building on the coast and wondering why their house blowed away during a storm.

We've dipped down to freezing about a dozen times this winter and had a couple of days in the 20s that froze my mustard greens in my garden. I was really pissed, it's been the hardest winter anyone down here can remember. I can not imagine how you guys put up with the really low temps. And 10' of snow. I guess if everyone was like me they would live south of Atlana and send a crew north every now and then to pick apples and stuff. Glad they don't!
