Got the surgery rescheduled for Tuesday the 10th. Bad part is it is for 5 PM so I will be NPO all day.

The wife isn't showing much improvement so it looks like she will be moved to a long term facility later this week. My brother's biggest problem is with a bad knee. He started taking Naproxen a few days ago and it is much better. He should be able to take me down and pick me up.

As expected, the wife was moved to long term care in Luling today. Average stay is about 25 days.

I sill plan to have surgery next week. The next opening in the schedule wasn't until April and I don't want to wait that long. Hope to be back on my feet (and the Harley) by the time warm weather is here to stay,

Should be in the hospital 4-7 days and be able to drive down to see her shortly after getting home. Will do like I did today, come down in the evening to spend the night and go home in the afternoon. The cafeteria is open for breakfast and lunch and family eats free.

Yes - getting back on 2 wheels sounds like a great plan.

Three wheels since the conversion but I have thought about getting a cruiser around 850-1000 cc just for joy rides with the son. That is mostly a dream unless I found a killer deal. Otherwise the 'Boss' might find a way to collect my life insurance before I would like.

                    Pappy-

Too bad you are in San Marcos. I have a 2008 Suzuki c50 (805cc) with detachable fairing sitting in the garage that I need to sell. It was the wife's bike and unfortunately she can't ride due to an elbow injury.

Did I mention it has 320 original miles?

Looks like everything is on schedule. Got my bag packed and ready to go. Don't have to be there until 3 PM so tomorrow is going to be miserable. Nothing to eat or drink after midnight is going to make it a long day.

Need to run a couple of things down to the wife in the morning and then back home so my brother can take me to San Antonio.

My cell phone is dying (Charge port won't connect good) and the replacement hasn't got here yet. Will have him or my brother bring it to me if it gets here in the next couple of days so I can get it in service. Until then anyone that wants to talk to me will have to call on the hospital room phone.

I will have a lap top with me, but no email access other than gmail.

Surgery went good. Very little pain today and I am looking forward to getting of the liquid diet and back on real food. Only time I am hooked to the IV is when they are giving me antibiotics or something else. Other than that I can get up and walk in the halls.

If all goes well I should be home by Friday and be able to drive down to see the wife by Sunday or Monday.
