    Prayer requests for my wife

This morning my wife learned her mom passed away in the hospital in Thailand. She had had a stroke (her second in 3 years) about a month ago and was recovering in the hospital, but eventually succumbed to another issue--a poor heart.

We had planned to visit in 2014 because my MIL had not met our kids yet, but my FIL developed stage 4 cancer and came back to the states for treatment by himself. He returned home just a month ago cancer free but then his wife had the stroke.

We bought tickets for the trip for this April before the stroke happened but it just didn't work out. The last time my wife saw her mom in person was exactly 5 years when she was pregnant with our first kid so I'm sure there are lots of thoughts of regret floating through her head.

We've rescheduled the trip for this Tuesday.

Please keep my wife and her family in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve.

    Thanks
    Paul

      Prayers and condolences from our

family to your wife and your family. Time is always too short for those things that must be taken care of. We just don't realize it till too late. Again, our prayers for each of you in this time of tragedy.

        Paul,

Lifting you and your family in prayer. My wife's father passed away back here in the States from a heart attack while we were overseas - back in '94. She hadn't seen her father in 3 years. It hurts when situations like this arise.

Praying deeply for your wife and your and your family.

                              Paul,

Sorry for your loss. I've prayed for your family and will do so again. My Dad died in 2011. The anniversary was last week. The father of my late wife died in 2012. Her mother and my mother are still with us. My wife died of a stroke and her dad had several after hers. My dad got pneumonia and had congestive heart failure.

It is completely normal to grieve. Supporting your wife will help her even if doesn't seem to right away. It really does take time. My wife was a much bigger blow for me than my Dad. But Dad dying was plenty bad enough.

                              Jim
