    Current status of 21829

My neighbor is in the market for a saw with a folding stand. I steered him toward the 21829, but he said it is on "closeout" at Sears. It doesn't look that way on the web site, so I thought I'd probe the community to see what recent experiences are.

    TIA,
    JR

Clearance. Intermediate markdowns may have been taken.

    While supplies last

Sold by Sears and Fulfilled by Sears

That's what I see on the Sears site.

They are still available in the Chicago area. I recently got a good deal on one at a Sears Outlet near me a couple weeks ago. BTW - The folding stand is excellent.

still in the on-line stores and at local stores.

they have periodic sales on this item and some stores have clearances and sears also has friends and family discounts, coupons, and general tool sales. I'd keep my eyes open for a sale if I was in need of such a saw and had some patience. Sign up for a sears card to get another 5% off. ASk the salesman for the best price... when buying a fridge at sears recently they bent over backwards to find me all the possible discounts and percents off.

And parts are still available at searspartsdirect.com

          I wouldn't hesitate.

I might be in the minority, but I would look at other options at that price. Unless you specifically needed the mobility. Which it would appear he might.

            Still a bit rich though.

              Love it

I got Mine last year and love the Mobile stand. The one I looked @ had the blade guard riving knife and paws like my BT3000 but got it home and to my surprise. The one I got had the easy remove split blade guard with riving knife and anti kickback paws.
I would try and get it @ a lower Price got mine on a sale for

              Merchandise Subtotal $499.99
              Total Savings $135.00
              Pre tax Subtotal$364.99

if you goto sears part website under Model # it is 315.218291 for newer model
              Thanks,
