Thought I'd share some of my recent projects, not as professional as some I've seen on here, but I had fun at it....I've learned a lot from this site and another I visit and really appreciate you folks sharing your knowledge. The first is a Walnut clock with a weight driven movement, next an end grain cutting board in Goncala Alves and another in Maple, Cherry and Walnut. Also, a salt and pepper box. The holes are about 3.5 inches in diameter, larger than any "hole maker" I own so I built it "band saw" box style. I just love makin' sawdust!

If it was thick enough I think it would be safe, however I'm not a fan of using wood cutting boards with meat or poultry . I advise the folks I give these to that they should use the plastic type that can be cleaned in the dishwasher for meat, and mine for fruits and veggies. The one in the sink is my favorite as well, it was made to slide to the left or right depending on what side she's working on.Comment
