Trading if for a decent bandsaw, a planer or a lathe

LOL.
As a resident of the higher two ---- (Colorado), I'd note we've authorized that kind of Darwinian natural selection.
Select stupidity - you get removed from the gene pool.
Aesthetically, I would have been more impressed if the bong was made on a lathe.......
In terms of trade (to be clear, I have NO interest in these products), I think it's about as valuable as my Harbor Freight Doweling Jig.Comment

Okay, as the OP, let me clarify:
1) I was browsing for my son, who is just getting into woodworking and lives in the Bay area- I was looking for a planer for him, honest! BTW, it seems that- based on totally unscientific random observations- there are many more posts for wood working tools on CL in the Seattle area than in the Bay area. Anyone have any ideas why? I suspect fantastic weather and other distractions, and high real estate prices that make space for a shop a true luxury.
2) My wife's birthday present to me was two tickets to the live taping this past week of WWDTM in downtown Seattle. Very interesting and entertaining to see what goes into making the show- two hours of mayhem, madcap banter and bloopers have to be distilled into a one hour broadcast. Also, it has to consider unresolved news. For example, the show was being taped before the final result of the Scotland independence vote was known, so Peter Sagal gave two separate commentaries- one assuming an aye vote, the other a nay vote. The funniest comments from the panelists were edited out (not NPR appropriate) If the show comes to your area, I highly recommend you get tickets.Comment
