So I just spoke to Freud and here's the skinny. The original models had the plastic insert, newer models have the aluminum plate. If you want an aluminum insert from them, it will cost $80. No upgrades allowed for free if you got the plastic insert version.

          Has anyone purchased this recently?

Went to my local Lowe's here in NM and no luck. All are marked at $199.00. Thanks for the info.

Went to the Sandy Springs, GA store to look for the Delta 40t TS blade and found the Freud router table at $99. The $99 was a yellow tag on the shelf but the box aid $199. I had a 10% off coupon so $90 out the door. It includes the aluminum plate as well.

An update, Last week the Lowes near me had two of these and a display on clearance for $99. Today I went back to purchase one armed with a $10 off $50 coupon. To my shock they had a new sign on the display for $39!!!! Of course they were sold out of the other two units. They did let me purchase the display for the clearance price. Unfortunatly it has the plastic insert. This was in the dallas area. I had them look it up in the system for the immediate area and every store was sold out but a few still had display models. An excellent deal for $40 bucks. Actually $45 after i found $10 more bucks woth of stuff to buy and applied the coupon

I have a question about this fence. I own it, but have to tape my shop vac to the back of it since it doesn't seem to be a standard size vac outlet. Does anybody know where to get a vac reducer to fit this fence?

                  thanks louis
