Record bench vises $29.99 at Big Lots

I was at Big Lots(Bloomington, Illinois) today and picked up 2 Record 7" quick set woodworkers bench vises.I knew they were worth more than $30.When I got them home I checked them out on Amazon and they are about $90 each.

I'm pretty happy. If you need a really nice vise and you have a Big Lots nearby, you should check it out.

Saw the same post on Woodnet. They are going fast, so start making those phone calls.

I tried the Big Lots on Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond and they didn't have any. Oh well...

            Woody,
Yea, just came back from the one on Brook Road...No Luck. They often don't have much to brag about there.

Tried the store in south Austin today. Got the deer in the headlights look when I asked for a Record vise. Off tomorrow,so I will make some calls in the morning.

I tried the one on Westheimer here in Houton. They had some Pony 4.5" opening, 6.5" wide woodworking vises for $9.99. But no Record vises.
Maybe I'll go by the other one in Katy on Mason Rd, tomorrow.

Be sure to be thorough while looking for these items. The ones I found were not near the Pony vises they had. They were actually on a top shelf on a different aisle in mangled boxes. At least they were in the tools area.

I'm sure the majority of their employees wouldn't have a clue what a record vice is or where they are.

Could someone who bought one post the Big Lots item number, SKU, or Record model number? I am in Columbus, OH where Big Lots' home is and they need the number to see if any stores here carry it. I called a couple stores to no avail and thought this might be quicker/easier.

                        Thanks so much-

Thanks guys for such a quick response. What a great forum. Beth at the home office is looking it up for me - she even asked which stores are most convenient for me which I thought was surprisingly nice of her .
