    Update

I've now tried the new router with my Leigh D4 jig. The bigger Triton was manageable and never caused me any problems, but boy - is this one better!

It's an absolute delight to use with the Leigh and I whizzed through a load of drawer components using an Isoloc template, as can be seen here:

These are the drawers (fronts and sides) for a drawer unit I've just started. You can see the carcass in this picture, with its Accuride full-extension (self-closing) slides fitted:

    Thanks for looking!

Yes - with a 9mm ply bottom, a good dovetail (Isoloc, in this case) with plenty of glue surface and you can locate the back with a couple of biscuits if you don't want to bother with a dado. Absolutely bomb-proof if properly prepared and painted.

These are the start of the final phase of that kitchen I've been building from scratch. I've got a couple of 1,000mm corner base units (mirrors of each other) and a sink base unit to do as well. I'll do the sink base unit out of Medite. Drawer fronts and plinths will be in Medite too - the plinths because water-resistant material makes sense, the drawer fronts because the sharpness of the profiles you can get is so much better than ordinary MDF.

The client specified MDF because she wanted to paint the whole thing herself - and she makes a really great job of it too! I expect I'll whizz a few pictures up when I've installed it all.

        Ray.
