    New Saw/ Router Station

Most of my design elements are borrowed from Sam's Maroon and Maple Mobile Cart, with the blade caddy yet to be finished and mine is not mobile at this point. At some point I will be painting it a real light pastel color. Most of the openings will get drawers except for the blade storage and the router station which will get doors. I not only hinged my saw shelf but also made it slide to allow for even more rip capacity. See the next three picture links for close-ups

I've been planning on doing this for a really long time and have had the two T-track kits from Rocklers just gathering dust. http://www.blackwallnutjigs.com/imag...terstation.jpg I used the new Marvel 60 MLCS router with its edge guide to cut the stopped dados for two of the tracks. Early results with this router is that it is a Great Buy! So far it seem to work as one would expect but if it was not for all the free stuff the MV12 Hitatchi might be a better deal, more on this router in a later topic.

Great looking and very functional. I know you are going to enjoy the mobile cart and the router station. Don't forget to let us know more about the router.

It looks like one of the tips of the SMT fence is missing.

Look great Mark. I was working on mine this weekend. I am a little farther along. Getting ready to do the drawers and disassemble the hardware for painting.

That's because he painted his "line" yellow instead of red. Goes to show what happens when you don't follow the rules!

Now I'm not sure that I can still prove it and it would take some researching in Ryobi's Powertool Forum Archives but, I painted my line YELLOW before Norm in Fujino posted the idea for the first time.

Since the black glass filled resin SMT fence end-cap is not flush with the stock surface of the fence it offers zero material support. The "T-slot" in the front of the SMT fence is slightly larger than the corresponding T-slot in the glass filled resin end-cap which is a problem because of the tight fit my SMT mounted Tenoning Jig which has a track that fits in the slot.[8D][8D] I truely believe that the glass filled end cap is designed learning tool that lets new users figure out that the fence could be cut by the blade without cutting the fence extrusion first, if this makes any sense.

Thanks for all the kind words!
