    Name of switch

    Hey-

    Working on the work bench and need to wire a plug on a swich for the router table portion of this and have been looking for a switch similar to the one on the BT with a cover you bump to turn off ect... Don't know what the thing is called. I've searched homedepot, lowes and granger.com. Anyone knwo what to call this thing, or where I can get one local???

    If you do a quick 'google' for "router table safety switch" you should find something that will work for you.

    Example -- Fifth item down.

    All else failing, you could catch someone parting out a BT and snag the power switch from that and adapt it to your table.

            That was what I did. I mounted the plug inside the router compartment. Works like a charm!

              Those will work... I tried every combo of switch, safety, tool, saw and router I knew of with no luck.

                  You can use this switch on most any tool, especially good as you don't need to use your fingers, or look for a small button.

                    About a sears replacement switch assembly that costs about 25 bucks. I think I may buy 2, 1 for the router table in my BT3k, the other as a replacement for the saw itself.

                        The Sears switch looks very similar to the BusyBee one.
