They don't have a web site yet, L.D. The phone is 866-883-8064.
They now have a 5/8" Bladerunner in addition to the 1/2", and it's the same price, $20.

Like Ken said, he doesn't have a website. I believe his blades are Lennox.

They sell both Lennox and the same manufacturer that provides Highland with the blades they sell under the Wood Slicer brand.

I have a 14" bandsaw which can take a 5/8" blade, but I hear that it is better to stick with 1/2" blades for 14" saws. I also read or heard that a 5/8" Timberwolf blade was Ok to use on a 14" saw. Something about soft or thin steel used to make the Timberwolf blade.

Does any one have advice or experience about using Iturra's 5/8" Bladerunner resawing blade on a 14" saw? Should I get the 1/2" blade or will the 5/8" blade work better for my 14" saw?

The Bladerunner/Woodslicer is a thin blade. I don't think you will have any problems with the 5/8, but ask when you call Iturra. Everyone who answers the phone is knowledgable. If you're lucky Lou may answer, be prepared to listen for awhile. ;-D

The main reason to stay with 1/2" or less on 14" saws is the thickness of the blades. When you go over 1/2" the blade usually is .032" or more. 1/2" and smaller are usually .025" or less. The 14" wheel is too tight of a bend for the thicker blades. The reason people want 3/4" or wider is they think they will track better. I find I am better off with a GOOD 1/2" blade and a well tuned band saw.

I just ordered a 5/8" Woodslicer blade from Iturra last week. This is to go onto my HF saw with riser kit. It is 105". Lou said that it would work no problem. I think if it will work on a HF, it will work on anything. Keep in mind that the Woodslicer blades are thinner than standard blades. They are designed to operate at lower tension as well.

I have this exact setup. The 5/8" Woodslicer works great on the HF saw. Admittedly, I'm relatively new to using the bandsaw for anything other than curved cuts, but it's done everything I've wanted it to do. It'll resaw amazingly thin pieces straight and true through just about anything I can throw at it.

I have always heard so many good things Timberwolf blades for resawing. Seems that last month or so I have heard a few complaints. I just pulled the trigger on a big BS yesterday (overt gloat) and am now thinking I should get the Highlands re-saw blades. I assume Iturra is more expensive than the identical Highlands?

It's actually nine bucks (I think) cheaper from Iturra. If I recall correctly, the Highland Woodslicer is $29.99 and the Iturra version is $20.99. They are exactly identical. Louis Iturra goes into a long explanation of why he sells them in his catalog. It's an interesting read.

You won't regret it, Jeff. Have a large cup of coffee ready in case Lou answers.

Ken Massingale recommended this blade to me, bought it, used it, great blade for resawing. Half inch, 3-4 TPI.
