I just ordered the Delta 35-530 6 inch stacked dado set for $29.00 plus $6.50 for shipping from Tools-Plus. I called to place the order and the sales person volunteered that they had "plenty" in stock, with emphasis on the word plenty.

Looks like the one I got last year - if so, works just fine on the BT, and makes a pretty nice cut for a cheap Dado.

Thanks Hoover, I'm going to order it. I just bought a used BTS3100 and the guy who sold it to me told me it would NOT accomodate at 3/4 inch dado set. Anybody know if that is right?

Yes, it will accomodate a 3/4" dado set. You have to remove the large spacer but leave the small spacer on the arbor.

BTW, dado set arrived in great condition 7 days later via UPS ground. They even sent me an email giving me a link to UPS's tracking site, so I followed it all the way to my home. Sorry to say I haven't actually installed it and cut a dado, been too busy, but it looks real nice. I've saved their website to my favorites, I'll be checking them the next time I need something.

The package arrived but I'm not going to even open it. Sending it back. The problem is that I have had several days to read. Seems I can't find a decent review of the set but I CAN find lots of great reviews on the SD206. Comes with shims, cuts clean with minimal setup fuss.

Combined with the Rockler 25% coupon, I was searching for a deal. A local woodworking supply matched their offer so I was able to get the SD206 for $69.

Was considering the Oshlum / Avenger set but again, mixed reviews. With a difference of $25, I chose the Freud set.

Where is the dado set made?

The dado set is made in China.

Made in China or not, the dado set is well made, cuts clean and produces a very flat and clean bottom. Comparing it to my USA made Craftman set, the Cman set is pure junk and I be tossing it in the trash when I clean the shop tomorrow.
