    Router lift (attention Ssmith1627)

    Good day

Some time ago Ssmith1627 asked for some more details about the router lift on this post
    http://www.bt3central.com/showthread.php?t=31374

At that time my router was in Hitachi service and I could not take the pics but I promised to do it soon as the router will be back (it took more than a month for the parts to come from Japan).

So, promise is a promise and here it is

You are a very resourceful man, Niki. The only improvement I might suggest would be to lower the hand crank below table level, so that interference with a large workpiece could be avoided. Thanks for sharing.

      Thank you Uncle Cracker

I'm using this router lift only with the mortise jig so I have enough space for the fence.
As you can see, I just unscrew two knobs and all the system disappears.

Of course if you like to keep it in place all the time, it would be better to lower the crank as you said.

For all the other operations, I'm using different lift that allows me to fold up the table for easier bit change (pic)
