Borg Bargain alert Portamate mobile tool base $29

I went to my local borg yesterday for florescent light bulbs (T12's) and walked over to a marked down Ryobi miter saw stand. While I was looking around for the missing piece (saw hold downs), I spotted a display of Portamate portable tool stands, that I haven't found on Amazon yet, for $29. I noted that they went up to 19" x 50", which is larger then I see at Amazon so far. I might go back for one.

I did pick up the Ryobi miter saw stand, but had forgot to carry my gift card. I was loading it in my cart when a gentleman came over and said he was just coming back to get that. One benefit, of NOT being married, I don't need LOML's approval.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I've put up a couple pics of this base with the craftsman 17" drill press:

I have to go there Tuesday, so if someone doesn't catch it before, I will get it.

It was my day off, yet the running and errands were for work, so I was in a hurry to get out of there and didn't get it.

I was wondering about using one on a Ridgid Jointer though.

I am in the same position, I need four mobile base units, which will be more than what I can afford to pay. When you mentioned BORG, is that a store?

BORG is Home Depot. The acronym stands for Big Orange Retail Giant.

They have them over in the holiday tool section. I can't remember the weight spec, but I thought it was 600lbs.

                      Borg

My enthusiasm was short live. I headed to Borg, asked different people and no one knew about portamate. I looked at every possible place for both the, extension cord and the portamate and Cero, nada. No offense to the good workers and Borg, but some don't know a nail from a neddle.

It seems Borg thinks californians have all the money and don't bother putting great sales. ( just a joke)

Is the 87 number is the stock number?

The 87 number I posted above is the SKU.

At my HD, they were in a carton on a pallet in the buiding material section. Even armed with a picture of the orange box, they wouldn't have been found as the brown shipping carton hadn't been opened yet.

bought 3 yesterday great deal for the price

Went to home depot to see if I could find a herculift and they dont stock them anymore. Found them up front in the seasonal tool section on a stand alone display on a pallet. I put one together so far and it works great on my delta 6" jointer with stand. Jointer was too heavy for me to lift it onto the stand so I built the frame around it on the floor and then tilted the jointer and the base together and put two 2x4's under it to get it off the floor and then installed the wheels and levelers. Need to build 2 more later today, one for a delta band saw and one for the BT3000 if it will fit.
