    Delta Jointer/Planer $313 at Lowes

Just returned from local Lowes and noticed they had yellow tagged the Delta 6" Jointer/planer for $313. I believe the tag said the original price was $369.

Was it the model JT360? ...6" floor jointer with ~ 4' beds, 3/4hp, and an open stand?

My local Lowes had it marked down to $220. I later saw a guy load it up with it marked down to $200.

I have one (if that's the JT360 you're talking about) and that's a perfectly serviceable jointer for that excellent price.
Sure they can be prettier and have a closed stand and maybe better dust collection and a fancier switch location but I don't think they'll really joint much better if the bed's the same size. Maybe you can get more HP but heck, I only take off 1/32 or 1/16th at the most per pass and its plenty of HP for that.
Compare to jointers costing 350, 400, 450 bucks.

I also have one of these, picked up from a fellow who unexpectedly got transferred out of the area. It does a fine job and I paid a very reasonable price.

              Dustmight,
Sorry to be so long in replying but I haven't been online for a while. I believe that the one I saw was indeed the one you have pictured - the 360. Those who have remarked they bought it for $200 should have trouble sleeping at night. :-)

Just got back from a local Lowe's, and the price on the JT360 (item #60009) has dropped to 202.95. If it's that low at this particular Lowe's, then the price must have dropped everywhere. This one does not budge on prices (the ones that do are already sold out!)

Can anyone post a reciept for this price? As of this evening they were still $330.00(ish) at my local store (which never has the bargans...).

                  Thank you,
                  Scott

Yep - I got it for 202.95, too! Now I gotta figure out how to get it home! Hopefully it'll fit in the back of my car -- right now it's just sitting on the shelf with a big SOLD sign on it.

I have seen reports of about $90 for this tool, but I have yet to find anyone to post a copy of the receipt.

Here you go. In both the Lowes' I went to neither had the price right on the display. One showed $202 the other $313. However when I asked them to check in the computer both stores came up with $92.25.

You should run down to your local one and ask.
