Around the coffee pot This forum is for any topic that you would normally talk about at the office "around the coffee pot". Jokes, tall tales, and true stories are welcome as long as they are clean and in good taste. I only ask that you steer away from topics on religion or politics. Go ahead and pull up a chair and pour yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy the conversation.

Colonoscopy vs Cystoscopy

I've had two colonoscopies and over a dozen cystoscopies, and there is a big difference and it's not just the spelling.

A colonoscopy has a prep the day before and you pretty much sleep through the whole procedure.

A cystoscopy has no previous prep, totally takes no more than 10 minutes, and it's a hum dinger of an eye opener.

I had a catheter for a week after each of the first two cystoscopies, as they were surgical, not just exploratory. When I went out to the store, it was great cause I could pee while waiting in the checkout line.

Ha ha, nice. My wife has had to endure a bunch of sigmoidoscopy, another eye opener.

Maybe I should have said ..."without standing in it".
