Welcome to the forum. It would help if you post pictures of these parts. I have no idea what they are. You could also try Ryobi customer service.

I believe the Ryobi part he is talking about is the plate included in the kit for the BT.

      I don't have a PC router, so I can't answer.

No, the PC base shares a three-hole base mount with the Bosch and other routers, kind of the "PC standard" because theyused it first and others copied them. The Ryobi mounting hole pattern is different, but shared by many Sears craftsman routers (because Ryobi made them for Sears for a long time). The mounting plate included with the Ryobi Router mounting kits for the BT3 all have the Ryobi hole pattern. But its a simple matter of drilling the aluminum plate, been described here in past posts (use Search) (and in my FAQ) a bunch of times.

As Loring says, this is simple.

Working with aluminum is very easy. Remove the base on your router, mark the plate to match pattern on your router, and drill away. You'll want to have a countersink bit handy so the screw heads don't sit above the surface of the plate.

You can also construct the mounting plate from a piece of ply. it would be slightly thicker than the metal plate reducing the bit height but its pretty easy to figure out the dimensions.
