There's been several discussions on the differences between the BT accessory table and the newer Craftsman 21829 table, especially in regards to router mounting. The photos below will show the differences best.
The 21829 table is wider, mainly due to the miter slots added on each side. The miter slots have the 'T' recess, not just a straight 3/4" slot. I've found that the wider table is also beneficial in that I don't have to move any other accessory tables in order to mount the SMT. The SMT won't swap directly into the space of the BT table.
They did away with the router mounting plate for the 21829 and put the mounting holes directly in the table. The 21829 pattern is the same as the BT plate pattern.
