Woodcraft 20% off all LN

I don't know for sure, but I just heard this tonight. I guess from what I hear is Woodcraft is clearing out all stock of LN tools because LN is going to a non dealer manufacturer. I have not checked my local Woodcraft store but I will be tomorrow. Like I said, I just heard this tonight but it may be worth us checking it out.

They did this about 6 weeks ago also, 20% off everything. There was also a free shipping deal then, it got a little tricky entering the 2 codes, but if you called up they gave you both deals. It was online, not sure about the stores.

There was a dispute between LN and WC about bringing in the Wood River line which is a copy of LN which is a copy of the early Stanley's. Hence.. the romance ended and the break-up ensued.. The world is a vicious cycle I tell ya.....

Makes that LN rabbet block plane which is a basic copy of an old Sargent design attractive but... I'll still pass as someone may copy it and offer it at a price I can afford. At 20% off.. I still can't afford the LN. ha.. ha...

Thanks for the information. I was soon on my way to get a LV-Veritas #5 jack plane, but reading about the code you provided I went to Woodcraft (online) and bought the WoodRiver #5 Bench Plane offered for $129.99 (item 150286), but seems that I was unaware-and-treated as a “preferred online customer” and finally had a 12.99 discount+ free Shipping (because of the 11230 code), finally the total order was = $117.

Hopefully it is a good quality, as it says, and I do not have to return it. In that case I have saved $100 dollars (and hrs of tunning headache) in comparison with the LV, which is a better quality but a good deal anyway.

I stopped by my local Woodcraft this afternoon and it didn't look like they are going to be discounted. I mentioned it to one of the sales associates and she didn't seem to think they thier store is going to be doing it.

Does anybody have bought one of those “new” WoodRiver #5 Jack planes sold by Woodcraft stores (or online)? I just want to be sure that I paid for a quality plane before they do the shipping avoiding a possible headache.
