That is an excellent price. It normally doesn't go below 399. I'm adding that I put this on slickdeals.net the "hot deals" thread. This is a goody. Slickdeals is a good site to keep up on good deals on most everything. I've found a few things on there over the years.

I bought a bts21 off of craigslist a week ago but after learning about the 3100 and then finding the 21289 deal I couldn't pass it up. bts21 is going back to craigslist and I'm setting the 21289 up tomorrow!

This is the saw I have and I can't tell you how much I love it. All the goodness of the BT3100, plus many very nice improvements. The folding stand alone is worth well over $100.

Thank you Woodpecker. I think we may have gotten a few more members for the BT3central site out of that slickdeals post and your input. They loved it. But alas, Sears got wise and apparently the deal is done. I bet they have some form of algorithm that flags webpages that get too hot. I got 84 rep points and recognition from one of the senior moderators on slickdeals.

Oh, but as part of watching I did get a 360 buck front propelled (reconditioned) red Gold Series lawn mower for 157 bucks by watching the Sears Outlet site for local deals. I was going for a cheaper one that they had online and it wasn't there so the manager said you can have any of the red ones... So, I got the high wheel 6.75 torque unit like new. The only diff between it and their best is a hose cleanout and the red color. The salesman said he thought a guy bought it to mow a lawn and then brought it right back. Cha Ching...again with a new 2 yr warranty.

I am a deal fiend. Keep your eyes on slickdeals.net "tools" and also put your local store into the Searsoutlet site and check in once a week. They often have bits, blades and accoutrement in clearance and you can check stock online for your local store.

The three discounts totalling around 15% were only valid through 5/20/10, so they have just expired as scheduled. I haven't seen anything to suggest they changed the offer terms as a result of the Slickdeals posting.

BTW, bing is and was at 8% for Sears. Great deal on the saw!

You're welcome Kavoom. You know I never find any good deals fast enough to beat the guys at sd and fatwallet. You did get some pretty good rep points for posting the deal. (I should have thought of it! :P ) I'm glad you posted the deal though, as I was able to use the coupon after the fact, so you saved me 25 bucks! Thank YOU for that

Now to go out and check the square and alignment, and finish making a router mounting plate for my PC 890. Just got done assembling it.

Oh and yes dkferfoot you're right. I keep typing 21289 instead of 21829. dunno why.

Currently $349 and I was able to use a coupon of AFDEAL to get it to $339. Problem is finding it in stock at any location.
