WTB: BT Motor or Motor Assembly

Hi All - I'm posting this for a pending new member who's waiting for membership verification. Here's his request:

"Trying to find a complete motor assembly for my old BT3000 (13 amp, I believe) or a newer 15 amp motor if it will fit into my machine (has shims). I bought 2 motor brackets but neither will fit my motor as it needs a deeper recess for the fan on the motor. I bought these because my threads on the aluminum motor bracket stripped.

p.s. the older model's screw has a different pitch to it than the new ones. I have both, but as stated I need the options above or buy a cheap donor saw."

PM me if you've got something for him, and I'll forward the info.

TIA...

I missed one last week. I KNEW I should have grabbed it. A pretty clean BT3100 that was missing the SMT. I should have grabbed it and parted it out... Stupid stupid stupid....

Thanks to Knotscott for putting this request up for me. I think what I need now is a 15 amp motor with or without the bracket (as I have 2 of them) or a donor saw with the 15 amp motor.
Thanks,
Bill

The motor on my BT3000 just went out, so I am in the market for a motor also. Of course, BCinPhx gets to take the offer first.

Does anybody know if the motor from a newer Ryobi saw such as the BTS10 or BTS15 can be mounted on the BT-3000?

i would think not, those saws are quite different in construction from the BT3s.
