    Router kit...

    Hey,

Well, now after a shim replacement, my saw, and myself are happy campers.

I wanted to build some window sills this week and need to route the edges. I thought to myself - "I think i have a Ryobi router accessory kit I bought years and years ago and have never used."

I did find the box and it's in pristine condition with all pieces accounted for.

Except for the instruction manual. With limited router knowledge - I really need to learn how to set it all up.

I've searched and have found a handful of broken outdated links.

Does anyone have any help or advice? Thanks!

What brand router will you be using? If it is a Ryobi or a Ryobi built Craftsman branded router the supplied plate will work as is. The first step is to mount your router to the plate, then you mount the plate to the accessory table. Secure the acc. table to the back rail with the supplied rear clamp.

It is a small "L" shaped bracket. Do not attempt to use the router without it as the vibration will cause your router to move the acc table.

Many users mount the router fence pieces on the right side of the rip fence and then stand on the end of the saw facing the right side. Feed from right to left if you do this.

Most have found the kit supplied fence parts too small to be of much use and just build their own fence.

I have a craftsman... upon quick review - the holes all line up. I do have the clamp... I will need some time to figure out how it mounts. Thanks for the tip!

It works! I found that link before you replied with it. It didn't work. I then tried your - it didn't work.

Tried it a third time... POOF! It works.

I think this is the Router mounting kit instruction manual and parts list.
Hopefully it will be safe here and a more reliable download.
It appears to be a later version router mounting kit.
Earlier versions included a jigsaw mounting plate in addition to the router plate.
SOmewhere along the line they improved the router plate with 2, 3 (Porter-cable, Bosch and others), and 4-hole (Ryobi and Craftsman) patterns but the early ones only had the four hole patterns.
